La emoción homosexual (por llamarle de alguna manera sintética al crisol de sensaciones que somos capaces de sentir UNICAMENTE los homosexuales) es negada y satanizada en sutiles formas a través del lenguaje, creencias e imágenes, y la única forma que el autor -Paco- encuentra para desmantelar el adverso discurso moral que se edifica en nuestra cultura para convencernos de que el sexo entre dos machos es perverso, es capturando (a través del lente) aquello de lo que, bien sabe, el espectador no podrá sustraerse de sentir excitación, aunque sea (y ahí acude) en el rincón más obscuro de su ser. Compartir sus imágenes, es liberar su íntima emoción para que su fragancia sea percibida si prejuicios estorbosos..." SerGay #57, 1997.

No dejo de sentirme fascinado por aquellos lugares en los que individuos del mismo sexo se reúnen y donde, por esto mismo, las emociones sensuales se descubren excitadas por la aparente confusión que este hecho trae consigo, ese juego que sólo es posible al interior de las fronteras del mismo género: la cárcel, los baños de mujeres, los vestidores, los verdes campos de fútbol..., El Taller...., son espacios en los que la desnudez de nuestro cuerpo se atavía con la desnudez de nuestras intenciones, porque el rito es el mismo.

Nada como descubrir frente a tí, pálidamente iluminado por un destello casual, el cuerpo desnudo de un muchacho moreno que te hace darte cuenta de lo que eres capaz...", comenta Paco mientras nos muestra la secuencia fotográfica que realizó para "El Taller" y que será usada en el diseño del calendario 1998 editado por este tradicional bar gay de la Ciudad de México.

"...The homosexual emotion (to name in some sintetical way the set of sensations that ONLY we, the homosexual people, are capable to feel) is rejected and satanically named in sutiles forms through the lenguage, belives and images, and the only posibility that Paco finds to dismantle the adverse moral speach that is built in our culture to convince us that sex between two male humans is perverse, is to catch (through the lens of his camera) those forms that the audience will not be able to avoid from feeling excitation, even if it happens (and there´s where he apeals) in the darkest part of their being. To share his images, is to set free his intimate emotion, just to let its fragance be percibed without hinderer prejudices..." SerGay # 57, 1997.

"... I don´t stop feeling fascinated for those places where people of the same sex gather together and where, because of it, sensual emotions come out excitated by the aparent confusion this fact leads, that game which is only possible within the frontiers of the same genus; the jail, ladies rooms, locker rooms, the foot-ball green fields... the workshop (El Taller)..., are spaces where nudity of our own bodies dresses out with the nudity of our own intentions, because the rite is the same. 

Nothing like discovering in front of you, dissemblingly enlightened by a casual shine, a nude body of a well taned skin boy that makes you realize what you are capable of..." coments Paco while showing us the photographic secuency he made for "El Taller" bar (The Workshop) and which will be used to design the 1998 Anual Calendar edited by this Mexico City´s traditional gay bar.

Los Chicos del Taller (Guys of the Workshop) is a self selection of the author with those pictures he considers the best of all the secuency. There´s no dubt that many pictures and models were not included in this exhibition, but for sure we´ll meet them through other spaces and publications.
